A Axero Case Study
Ohio Valley Bank, a community-focused regional bank founded in 1872 with $1 billion in assets and 18 rural branches across Ohio and West Virginia, faced a people-and-communication challenge: high frontline turnover, generational gaps in communication styles, and a one-way intranet that left employees disconnected. Leadership wanted to stay independent, deepen community ties, and create a workplace that would attract and retain employees by closing communication gaps and increasing engagement.
OVB launched OVBnet on the Axero platform—customized, AD-integrated, and deliberately social—giving all 300+ employees broad access to directories, document management, spaces, task tools, photo and video sharing, and gamification. After in-person training, 100% of employees completed profiles and visited the site; committees now use private spaces and task management to cut travel and meetings, and 55 users (17%) moved beyond the basic participation level in the first year. The result is stronger cross‑generational collaboration, higher engagement, and a more connected workplace that supports the bank’s Community First mission.
