ARCO connects 979 employees across 19 offices with Axero

ARCO, a major US design/build general contractor comprised of 27 independent family businesses, faced significant challenges with its initial intranet. The system was difficult to scale, cumbersome to update, and failed to meet the needs of its rapidly growing, geographically dispersed workforce for centralized knowledge and communication. This led to inefficiencies and information silos. To address this, ARCO partnered with the vendor Axero to implement its intranet platform.

The solution implemented by Axero, named ARCOnnect, provided a centralized hub featuring a global directory, interactive org chart, document management, and collaborative spaces. This enabled ARCO to successfully connect its employees, streamline processes like its sabbatical and charitable gift programs, and foster a stronger company culture. The results included improved transparency, increased employee engagement, and the intranet becoming a vital one-stop shop for information. The success of the Axero platform was further demonstrated as five of ARCO's independent member companies began migrating their own operations onto it.
