How News.de Automates Daily Reports

News.de, a German-language news portal, needed a way to produce and update a large number of repetitive daily reports across many categories, including COVID-19 coverage, without overloading its staff. The challenge was to give readers fast, accurate, and up-to-date local information while reducing manual work. To address this, News.de worked with AX Semantics and its automated content creation software, AX Semantics NLG Cloud.

Using AX Semantics’ solution together with DataCater for data pipelines, News.de automated reports based on structured data from sources such as the Robert Koch Institute. AX Semantics generated texts automatically for more than 400 regions, delivering over 25,000 article updates and helping News.de reach more than 800,000 new visitors per month. The setup also reduced manual code-building time by about 40% and improved the robustness of data preparation processes.
