Palringo is a UK-based mobile chat, entertainment, and gaming app developer serving millions of users worldwide. As the company grew, its monolithic data center setup became hard to manage, fragile during outages, and too slow to support rapid feature delivery. Palringo needed a more agile, scalable approach, and turned to AWS Lambda as part of a broader move to AWS services including Amazon Kinesis Analytics, Amazon ECS, and Docker.

AWS Lambda helped Palringo build real-time metrics, replace costly legacy reporting systems, and support new platform capabilities with lightweight serverless code. The company also used AWS Lambda with Amazon Kinesis Analytics and other AWS services to improve deployment speed, resilience, and scalability, completing more than 1,700 software builds in nine months versus about five builds per week before AWS. Palringo also increased deployment frequency to 20–30 minor releases per day, handled peak traffic of around 1,500 messages per second, and reduced complexity and cost across its infrastructure.
