Alt/S, a New York and Silicon Valley tech startup, needed a way to build its Sportify sports-intelligence platform for real-time analytics, high scalability, faster feature development, and lower costs. To support machine-learning-driven insights, large-scale computation, and diverse data sources, Alt/S turned to AWS Lambda along with related AWS services for a serverless backend.

AWS Lambda helped Alt/S build the entire backend as an event-driven, serverless microservices architecture, with AWS API Gateway, Amazon Cognito, and other AWS services supporting APIs, authentication, data processing, analytics, and content delivery. As a result, Sportify eliminated time spent maintaining servers, scaled automatically, reduced costs by running services only on demand, and accelerated development—launching a new product in less than four weeks while improving developer productivity.
