Zimplistic Supports Sale of 20,000 Rotimatics Using AWS

Zimplistic, a Singapore-based startup behind the Rotimatic smart flatbread-making robot, needed a cloud-based IoT infrastructure that could handle a constant stream of device data and support remote monitoring, software updates, and product improvements. The company chose AWS IoT and the AWS Cloud to avoid building an expensive on-premises system while scaling its connected kitchen device business.

Using AWS IoT Core along with Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, and Amazon CloudWatch, Zimplistic built a secure, reliable infrastructure for managing data from Rotimatic devices and pushing updates to them. With AWS, Zimplistic has sold more than 20,000 Rotimatics, generated over $20 million in sales, and processed more than 84 million data packets per day, while enabling self-repair, usage analytics, and continuous product improvements.
