A AWS Glue Case Study
Notorious Studios, an indie video game startup, needed a faster way to capture and analyze playtest data for its game, *Legacy: Steel & Sorcery*. Working with AWS Glue and the broader AWS stack, the team wanted to replace a manual process that took up to 3 days and gain near real-time insights from both qualitative and quantitative player data, while keeping the solution simple to deploy and maintain.
AWS helped Notorious Studios build a scalable, modular game analytics pipeline using AWS CDK, AWS Glue, Amazon Kinesis Firehose, Amazon Kinesis Data Analytics, and Amazon QuickSight. The new pipeline was customized in 2 days and deployed in under 10 minutes, enabling the studio to discover player trends, balance gameplay, and answer design questions with real data from past playtests.
