Vroom! NASCAR Puts Fans in the Race With AWS Media Services

NASCAR wanted to give its millions of fans a more immersive, second-screen race-day experience across mobile devices and smart screens. To do that, NASCAR Digital used AWS Media Services from AWS Elemental, including AWS Elemental MediaLive and AWS Elemental MediaStore, to power the NASCAR Drive app and deliver broadcast-quality live and on-demand content worldwide.

With AWS Elemental, NASCAR can provide the driver’s-eye view, real-time stats, audio, and updated leaderboards with low latency through Amazon CloudFront. The move to AWS also helped NASCAR scale more efficiently and reduce production friction, while enabling new cloud-based machine learning and AI workflows with Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, and Amazon SageMaker.
