Spiritland Productions Livestreams Dynamic Sonic Concerts With AWS and Dolby Technology

Spiritland Productions, a UK-based live recording, production, mixing, and broadcast company, needed a way to enhance its growing livestream concert business with immersive audio while keeping production simple and scalable. After exploring Dolby Atmos, the team turned to AWS Elemental to support a new live-stream workflow for music events.

AWS Elemental helped Spiritland Productions build a portable setup using AWS Elemental Link, AWS Elemental MediaLive, and AWS Elemental MediaPackage to encode, package, and deliver streams from the venue to the cloud. The solution enabled stereo and Dolby Atmos versions of each performance, was described as easier than traditional on-premises encoders, and worked smoothly for the Hot Chip livestream, with video delivered in quality levels from 1080p down to 240p and ready to scale globally with Amazon CloudFront.
