On Air, a pay-per-view on-demand streaming service, saw surging demand for live concert content during the pandemic and needed a more robust way to deliver a high-quality virtual venue experience. Rather than build everything from scratch, On Air worked with AWS Elemental partner Nomad and its Nomad CMS to upgrade its media workflow and support live concerts and performances.

AWS Elemental helped power the solution with AWS Elemental MediaLive, MediaConvert, and MediaPackage, along with cloud services for storage, delivery, and user management. The new setup let On Air launch an ultra-high-definition streaming solution in less than three months and cut media workflow time by more than 60%, while also enabling immersive audio, faster scaling, and easier content management.
