Korean Broadcasting System - Customer Case Study

Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) needed a flexible way to handle media market changes and traffic surges while using IT resources more efficiently and only paying for what it used. After evaluating cloud providers, KBS chose AWS Elemental and AWS to support its digital media transformation, including services such as AWS Media Services for video workflows.

AWS Elemental helped KBS migrate about 300 servers from a colocation data center to the AWS Cloud, with the full migration completed in August 2018 and the data centers shut down. Using services including AWS Elemental MediaLive and AWS Elemental MediaConvert, along with other AWS tools, KBS moved its major digital media systems to the cloud and improved operational efficiency through easier scaling and faster service delivery.
