John Hagee Ministries (JHM) is a global faith-based broadcaster that airs on ten TV networks and reaches millions via its Internet channel GETV. As it moved beyond traditional television to IP-based streaming, JHM found its existing encoders could not produce enough adaptive-bitrate outputs, causing buffering and stuttering, and frequent encoder failures led to outages that undermined the viewer experience.

After evaluating vendors, JHM adopted Elemental Live to stabilize and scale streaming. The system generates 26 adaptive streams (110 Kbps–2.5 Mbps) in HLS and RTMP, supports input switching, deinterlacing, overlays and archiving, and now runs GETV 24/7. The result is a vastly improved, reliable stream with thousands of viewers across hundreds of countries and a flexible platform ready for future features like smart-TV support and closed captioning.
