Com Hem Unifies Delivery of Live Linear and Multiscreen TV Services with Elemental

Com Hem, one of Sweden’s leading broadband, television and telephony providers serving about 1.92 million households (including 625,000 digital TV subscribers), needed to simplify and unify its headend and workflows to deliver live linear and multiscreen TV consistently across cable, IPTV and OTT networks and devices.

Com Hem deployed Elemental’s software-defined video (Elemental Live) as a unified headend supporting IP and SDI inputs to simultaneously process live H.264 DVB‑C, RTP and ABR streams. The solution consolidated operations, increased scalability and flexibility, and enabled consistent, high-quality delivery across all networks while making it easier to introduce new services.
