Nextel, an ICT integrator in the BeNeLux, faced a core mobility challenge: about 200 of its 300 employees work remotely or in the field and needed reliable access to core applications and data. To avoid the complexity of classic VPNs, Nextel adopted Awingu as a browser-based workspace solution to enable secure, anywhere access on any device.

Awingu was deployed in Nextel’s controlled datacenter to provide easy, clientless browser access, full out-of-the-box usage auditing, and simplified management that removed the need to configure and maintain complex VPNs. The rollout delivered secure, easy-to-use access for roughly 200 mobile workers and, in Nextel’s words, made Awingu “one of our important mobility and efficiency solutions.”
