Philips Arena, home of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, faced a time-consuming staff scheduling problem: guest services had to coordinate more than 100 internal staffers per event across 5–10 events monthly, relying on paper and email and taking two weeks to finalize a month’s schedule. To solve this, Philips Arena partnered with AwareManager and adopted the Gunner platform for event-day operations.
AwareManager implemented event templates and individual staff profiles in Gunner to track qualifications, availability and contact details, allowing the system to automatically assign the right people to each role. The Gunner mobile app adds real-time check-in and live incident management; as a result AwareManager cut scheduling from two weeks to minutes (as little as five minutes), eliminated roughly a week of administrative work each month, and delivered immediate visibility into staff readiness.
