Case Study: NYU Langone Medical Center achieves streamlined facilities and asset management with AwareManager

A AwareManager Case Study

Preview of the NYU Langone Medical Center Case Study

AwareManager’s facility management software underpins the NYU Langone Medical Center’s various facilities and operations management

NYU Langone Medical Center, a leading Manhattan-based hospital system, struggled with an unreliable asset management platform that produced messy, inaccurate work order, preventive maintenance, and inventory data and offered poor vendor support. In March 2008 the medical center replaced that system with AwareManager’s facility management software to gain a more user-friendly information system and a responsive customer service team.

AwareManager partnered with NYU Langone’s Engineering and Facilities department to convert equipment and maintenance schedules into the new system, introduce preventive maintenance categorizations for Joint Commission reporting, create standard tasks, and implement new procedures. The implementation produced cleaner, more reliable data, streamlined maintenance workflows, improved reporting accuracy for compliance, and created a scalable foundation that made it easier to add other departments—demonstrating measurable gains in operational efficiency under AwareManager’s ongoing support.
