Catholic Social Services (CSS), through its Children, Family and Community Service team, supports vulnerable families and individuals across Edmonton and area, often with staff working alone in unpredictable situations. Their challenge was protecting community workers with limited resources, while meeting lone-worker safety requirements and keeping sensitive emergency information secure. They needed a safer, more efficient way to track workers in the field.

Aware360 implemented its SafetyAware platform to give CSS frequent mobile check-ins, hazard alerts, GPS visibility, and a 24/7 emergency response center that investigates missed check-ins before escalating issues. The solution reduced false alarms and removed the burden from supervisors, while improving confidentiality and providing round-the-clock protection for 125 workers. CSS said the system is simple to use and described it as “a step up in our safety.”
