Glas Fandel, a German manufacturer of insulated glass units, sought to build a new, fully automated production line to improve productivity, reduce labor costs, and enhance product quality. They partnered with a network of suppliers, including vendor A+W Software, to integrate the necessary software and networking technologies for this major investment.

A+W Software implemented its DynOpt 2.0 cutting control software and other systems to intelligently link the different machinery environments from Hegla and Lisec. This solution enabled real-time data exchange, fully automatic reproduction of breakage, and the addition of rush jobs, resulting in a highly automated process that requires minimal human intervention. The project achieved its goals, leading to improved yield, scarce breakage, and a significant increase in both quality and delivery reliability for the customer.
