CAL FIRE transforms licensing and permitting platforms to a SSO capability utilizing ProjectDox

CAL FIRE needed a way to connect electronic permitting with paper plan review workflows in a single system. After deploying GOVmotus®//FIRE, the department worked with Avolve Software and IBTS to find an integrated approach for its permit approvals, plan reviews, inspections, and licensing across a large statewide operation.

Avolve Software implemented ProjectDox® with GOVmotus®//FIRE using single sign-on and shared data between the two platforms so staff could move between permitting and plan review without interruption. The integrated system launched in April 2020, supports about 2,600 applications a year, and since deployment has provided 99.9% availability.
