The Thief Hotel needed a way to manage property security with a much smaller team during the pandemic, when one person had to oversee all cameras and review footage efficiently. Working with Avigilon and its Avigilon Alta cloud video security solution, the hotel sought a more flexible system that could help the head of security monitor multiple entry points and investigations without relying on a server room.

Avigilon implemented 10 new Avigilon cameras and connected them with existing third-party cameras into a cloud-connected system accessible from registered devices. The result was faster searches through tagged events, remote access, automated alerts, and easier day-to-day management for non-technical staff. When an alert flagged an unauthorized person near the loading dock at 3 a.m., the team responded quickly and prevented theft or damage, showing how Avigilon helped The Thief Hotel scale security effectively.
