A Avigilon Case Study
The Point Casino, a tribal gaming facility on the Port Gamble S'Klallam reservation in Kingston, Washington, needed to meet stringent tribal, state, and federal gaming regulations while boosting onsite security and protecting tribal assets from theft and fraud. The casino required a reliable, higher‑resolution surveillance solution to replace an obsolete analog system and ensure continuous monitoring of gaming tables, cash-handling areas, and entry points.
The casino deployed an Avigilon end-to-end system—HD 2 MP cameras, Avigilon Control Center (ACC) with HDSM, 46 analog video encoders and Avigilon NVRs storing up to 21 days of footage—and integrated it with access control and panic alarms. The upgrade delivered superior image quality and broader coverage with fewer cameras, sped investigations up to 15x (search times cut from minutes to under 20 seconds), improved compliance, and provided a cost‑effective path to high‑definition surveillance.
