Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins, is a 39,500‑seat outdoor stadium that hosts about 300 events a year and more than 3.3 million visitors. The ballpark needed a video surveillance system that would cover the entire facility, integrate with its chosen access control and IT network, provide at least 45–65 days of archived video, and meet those goals within a fixed budget.
Target Field deployed the Avigilon high‑definition surveillance solution—Avigilon Control Center with HDSM—using about 170 fixed and PTZ cameras (1–16 MP), analog encoders and eight NVRs, with mobile access planned. The system integrated smoothly, delivered 65 days of storage, cut investigation times dramatically (from hours to minutes), sped incident response, improved employee and guest safety, enhanced customer service, and helped prevent liability claims.
