Rogers Centre - Customer Case Study

Rogers Centre, a 50,000‑seat multi‑purpose stadium in Toronto that hosts thousands of events and millions of visitors, needed a reliable, flexible high‑definition surveillance solution to ensure spectator safety and improve event management. The venue’s prior portable, single‑camera system missed incidents and couldn’t support staffing or operational decisions, so management sought a scalable system that would provide complete coverage and clearer evidence for investigations.

Rogers Centre deployed Avigilon Control Center with High‑Definition Stream Management, 19 Avigilon 16 MP HD Pro cameras for the seating bowl, a mix of additional HD cameras for the perimeter, and three NVRs—using the existing fibre network and Avigilon’s compression to cut bandwidth. The result: full coverage with far fewer cameras and staff, lower installation and management costs, faster incident resolution, improved customer service, and stronger operational efficiency.
