Mama’s on the Half Shell, a popular Baltimore seafood restaurant with two sister sites (Nacho Mamas and The Pizza and Wing Factory), needed to address growing security gaps after operating without video surveillance. Management sought a solution to minimize theft, monitor customer activity, and ensure the safety of patrons and staff across all three locations.

The owners installed 14 Avigilon 1–2 MP cameras per site, Avigilon Control Center (ACC) with HDSM, HD NVRs with 30 days of storage, Adaptive IR for low-light imaging, and ACC Mobile for remote monitoring. The system reduced crime and inventory loss, curbed employee theft and food/alcohol costs, sped up incident assessment (and aided police investigations), and improved food quality monitoring, employee accountability, and overall business intelligence.
