LaSalle Plaza, a 30‑story, 600,000 sq ft office tower in downtown Minneapolis that serves thousands of workers and visitors daily, needed to replace an aging analog/DVR surveillance system that produced poor image detail, was difficult to use and costly to maintain. High foot traffic, extended retail hours and connectivity to the city's skyway made clear, reliable monitoring and faster response times a priority for tenant and patron safety.

Working with integrator ECSI, the building deployed 48 Avigilon HD 1 MP cameras, Avigilon Control Center 5 Enterprise with HDSM and an Avigilon NVR with 45 days of retention, all managed by two operators and accessible to managers remotely. The new system delivered markedly better image clarity, faster searches and response, reduced maintenance costs and fewer liability claims—strengthening tenant safety, retention and overall security while lowering total cost of ownership.
