Humber College - Customer Case Study

Humber College, a large Toronto institution serving tens of thousands of students across three campuses, needed to deploy a high-definition surveillance system in parking lots and high-traffic buildings to maintain public order, deter crime, and create a safe campus environment.

The college implemented Avigilon Control Center with HDSM, installing 1–16 MP and 180° panoramic HD cameras, using encoders to convert existing analog cameras and ACC Mobile for remote monitoring, with up to 14 days of footage on existing NVRs. By leveraging current network infrastructure and in-house installation, Humber reduced costs, sped investigations from hours to minutes, improved image quality and manageability, and strengthened campus safety with responsive vendor support.
