Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center (EGSMC), a 500,000 sq. ft. hospital campus in Colorado connected to two independently monitored facilities, needed clearer, more reliable monitoring of entrances, exits and other sensitive areas to protect patients, visitors and staff while integrating with legacy systems.

EGSMC implemented a hybrid Avigilon solution—48 cameras (1–5 MP), eight Avigilon analog encoders, Avigilon Control Center with HDSM and three NVRs (5 TB each) storing 30–60 days of footage. The upgrade improved analog image quality, enabled simultaneous live viewing and playback, produced actionable evidence in incidents, cut investigation time by ~75%, doubled security productivity and reduced up-front costs by about 20%.
