A Avigilon Case Study
Copenhagen Business School (CBS), a top European business school in Frederiksberg with about 22,000 students and an open, public campus, was experiencing rising petty theft and vandalism that undermined community safety. Leadership needed a comprehensive but noninvasive security solution capable of monitoring large crowds, detecting unusual behavior, and tracking potential suspects across wide outdoor and indoor areas without detracting from the campus’s welcoming atmosphere.
CBS replaced its legacy system with an integrated Avigilon solution—consolidating servers, connecting 190 cameras to Avigilon Control Center, and deploying a video wall plus analytics tools such as Unusual Motion Detection and Appearance Search. The new system improved real‑time monitoring and evidence retrieval, reduced thefts and false alarms, allowed targeted security presence, and helped the school identify and fix operational inefficiencies, resulting in a safer, better‑managed campus.
