Case Study: City of Yerevan achieves Safe City protection and efficient paid-parking management with Avigilon

City of Yerevan - Customer Case Study

Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, launched a Safe City initiative to better protect people, property and infrastructure while managing a new paid parking system and heavy downtown traffic. The city engaged local provider Parking City Service to design, deploy and manage a high-definition surveillance network to reduce crime, secure parked vehicles and improve traffic flow.

Parking City Service deployed 1,600 Avigilon 5 MP HD bullet cameras (with plans for 5,400 more), Avigilon Control Center with HDSM and Avigilon NVRs storing up to two weeks of footage, operated by a six-person team. The system enables reliable license-plate capture and enforcement (500–600 video clips/tickets per day), faster search and export for investigations, revenue generation for the city, improved traffic management, clear day/night imagery and scalable citywide coverage.
