Bear Creek Mountain Resort, a 330‑acre Pennsylvania resort with a 118‑room hotel and over 315,000 annual visitors, struggled with an unreliable analog surveillance system—poor image quality, unsynchronized DVRs and frequent failures—that hampered investigations and left the property exposed to theft, liability claims and asset risk.

The resort implemented Avigilon’s high‑definition surveillance with Avigilon Control Center (HDSM), installing 42 HD cameras (1–5 MP), 42 analog encoders, an NVR and 24/7 remote monitoring. The upgrade delivered much faster, more accurate investigations (reducing multi‑hour reviews to under an hour), improved evidence quality, lower theft and liability costs, better performance from existing analog cameras and a clear, cost‑effective path to full HD coverage.
