Avigilon and Megabangna Shopping Centre A Large-Scale Retail Security Solution

Avigilon partnered with Megabangna Shopping Centre, one of Thailand’s largest malls in Bangkok (4 million sq ft, 840+ shops and 10,000 parking spaces), to address growing security challenges from heavy foot traffic, frequent vehicle vandalism and theft, and gaps in surveillance coverage that made investigations slow and inconclusive. The Centre needed a scalable, high‑performance system to improve customer safety, speed up loss‑prevention processes and reliably track incidents across vast indoor and outdoor areas.

Working with systems integrator Entech, Avigilon deployed a complete solution — 500 cameras including HD Multisensor, H4 Dome and H4 Bullet models, NVRs and Avigilon Control Center (ACC) video management software — to eliminate blind spots and enable rapid video searches. Installation finished in half the projected time, investigators now locate footage in under 10 minutes, the system reduced investigation time and costs, and the deployment has been expanded to additional parking structures to further improve safety and loss prevention.
