An A+ Security Solution That Focuses on the Future

Tampere Vocational College Tredu is Finland’s second-largest vocational school, serving over 18,000 students and 1,000 staff across multiple campuses. Facing vandalism, unwanted visitors and the need to scale security as programs and sites expanded, Tredu required a centralized, user-friendly system that could protect people and property while adapting to changing regulations such as GDPR.

Tredu implemented a complete Avigilon solution—more than 900 cameras with self-learning analytics, Avigilon Control Center with Appearance Search, Access Control Manager and video intercoms—to provide real-time alarms, high-detail video for rapid verification and streamlined investigations, and controlled after-hours access. The system shifted officers from constant monitoring to fast response and proactive detection, improved situational awareness and evidence collection, and has scaled with the college’s growth, with plans to expand to new campuses.
