Águas do Mondego SA, the multi-municipal water supply and sanitation concessionary in Portugal responsible for over 80 sites across 13 municipalities, needed a cost-effective, easy-to-operate HD video surveillance system to replace an unreliable analogue CCTV setup and enable remote monitoring and better oversight of its dispersed facilities.

With partner Domosinal Systems, the company deployed 55 Avigilon HD cameras across 27 facilities plus Avigilon Control Center (with HDSM), ACC Mobile, NVRs and video encoders for phased analogue migration. The system integrated with SCADA, delivered clear high‑definition footage, remote access for 30+ users, up to 30 days of recorded video, reduced bandwidth and maintenance costs, and improved operational control with plans to expand to more sites.
