Elevating Melbourne residents’ living experience

Erin Living Technologies, maker of the Erin Resident app, was chosen to serve residents at the new Thomas Street Apartments in Moonee Ponds — a six‑storey development with 69 apartments and about 100 residents within a $2 billion precinct masterplan. To deliver a seamless, secure and convenient living experience, Erin needed to integrate its community‑led super app with the building’s access control so residents could move freely, use amenities and avoid the hassle of physical keys while ensuring the system would be future‑proof and scalable.

The solution paired the Erin app with Motorola Solutions’ Avigilon Alta cloud access control and Avigilon Mullion Smart Readers (initially on 10 doors), enabling mobile entry, guest sharing and fast sub‑second unlocks. Building management can now issue and revoke digital credentials remotely, reducing costs and boosting operational efficiency, while residents enjoy improved security, convenience and an elevated living experience as the precinct expands.
