Starlight Express, the long-running Andrew Lloyd Webber production in Bochum, Germany, needed a sonic refresh for its 30th anniversary. The show’s owners brought in sound designer Gareth Owen and his team to create a new immersive audio concept, using an Avid VENUE | S6L system to support the complex theater workflow and the production’s need for maximum instrument separation across the entire venue.

Avid Technology’s VENUE | S6L helped deliver a highly flexible, scalable setup that could route multiple sounds from the same instruments to different speaker positions around the theater.
