Technicolor, the post-production sound outlet for Paramount Pictures, needed a highly integrated, efficient workflow for its new three-story sound complex to support major film and broadcast audio work. It chose Avid Technology, using solutions including System 5 digital consoles, Pro Tools, and Media Composer | Nitris DX to connect mixing, playback, and video workflows across the facility.

Avid Technology implemented a fully integrated digital post-production environment with System 5 and Pro Tools on multiple stages, along with EUCON connectivity and Satellite Links for streamlined audio-video synchronization. The result was a world-class facility with flexible, time- and cost-effective workflows, perfect mix translation to outside theaters, and the capacity to handle over 1,300 audio tracks and a wide range of feature film and TV projects.
