Spotlight Productions Puts 4K in the Limelight with Avid NEXIS

Spotlight Productions, a full-service production company in Alberta, Canada, needed to improve its 4K/UHD post-production workflow as monthly delivery demands for TELUS Originals were straining storage, throughput, and export times. The company turned to Avid Technology and Avid NEXIS, along with upgraded Media Composer | Symphony Option edit suites, to support collaborative editing and consistent color/grading across seven suites.

Avid Technology implemented Avid NEXIS | E4 enterprise storage with 128TB of capacity, plus updated HP systems and support from Applied Electronics, giving Spotlight the bandwidth and reliability needed for 4K/UHD work. The result was faster, more efficient post-production, improved performance across edit rooms, and quicker project delivery for high-volume content, enabling Spotlight to handle its growing 4K/UHD workload more easily.
