SFJAZZ Center Fine Tunes Live Sound with Avid

SFJAZZ Center wanted a highly versatile new performance venue that could transform from a 700-seat hall into a more intimate 300-seat space while still delivering full production capability, excellent acoustics, and the feel of a jazz club. To help meet that challenge, the center worked with Avid Technology, using Avid VENUE live sound solutions alongside a carefully designed acoustic and loudspeaker plan.

Avid Technology helped equip SFJAZZ Center with a VENUE | Profile System for front of house and a VENUE | SC48 for monitors, giving engineers flexible, easy-to-use tools for live sound. The result was a highly nuanced, natural-sounding hall with strong stage communication, cleaner recordings, and reliable performance for a wide range of artists; the new facility also includes recording-ready infrastructure and a second 70-seat space for added versatility.
