Power Station BerkleeNYC Uses MTRX to Link Studios for Broadway Cast Recordings

Power Station BerkleeNYC, the operator of the historic Power Station recording studios, wanted to modernize its analog-first setup without compromising the famous sound quality that artists and Broadway productions expect. As it upgraded the facility, the team needed a way to add digital flexibility for fast, complex recording sessions across multiple studios, and turned to Avid Technology’s Pro Tools | MTRX.

Avid Technology implemented Pro Tools | MTRX to connect Studios A, B, and C, provide flexible routing through Dante and MADI, and improve reliability for high-pressure sessions. The result was faster reconfiguration, a more stable multi-room workflow, and improved client feedback on sound quality; Power Station also used the system to record five Broadway cast albums over four consecutive weekends with the flexibility to reconfigure each setup quickly.
