No Gray Areas with S6L on Missy Higgins Tour

Missy Higgins, the beloved Australian singer-songwriter, needed a reliable, compact live sound setup for her evolving tour production, which had grown to 42 channels on the *Solastalgia* album cycle. FOH engineer Brent Gray had previously mixed her shows on Avid consoles and turned to Avid Technology’s VENUE | S6L-24D with Waves SoundGrid integration for the tour.

Avid Technology’s S6L gave Gray a cleaner sound, intuitive layout and event control tools, and seamless plugin integration while preserving his preferred Waves and Avid reverbs. The system was easy to deploy, with a small footprint and fast setup, and remained stable throughout the tour with no notable failures; Gray even reported being able to soundcheck and stay on schedule after arriving only 20 minutes before doors.
