M6 Delivers Cutting-Edge On-Air Graphics with Avid

M6, the major French broadcaster and RTL Group subsidiary, needed a faster, more flexible on-air graphics workflow to support multiple channels and rapidly changing studio productions. Working with Avid Technology and its Orad-based graphics solutions, M6 aimed to modernize graphics output, power LED and virtual studios, and enable quick set changes for several daily shows from the same space.

Avid Technology implemented a full graphics solution built around Maestro | PowerWall, Avid iNEWS, and Maestro | News plugins, creating a non-destructive, real-time workflow for dynamic broadcast graphics. The results were significant: M6 cut set-change time from overnight to less than an hour, enabled up to four differently staged shows in one day, reduced re-editing with on-the-fly corrections, and improved editorial validation and content reuse while boosting flexibility, creativity, and cost efficiency.
