High Noon Streamlines Post Production with Avid NEXIS

High Noon Entertainment, a full-service production company known for unscripted, character-driven programming, needed to speed up and streamline its post-production workflow while managing aging storage and a high volume of projects. With up to 10 to 20 pilots in production at once, 95 staff members, and 100 Media Composer licenses, the company needed faster, more flexible storage to support editing and finishing. High Noon turned to Avid Technology’s Avid NEXIS | E4 storage, with help from Key Code Media.

Avid Technology implemented Avid NEXIS and High Noon expanded it to 180 terabytes, enabling multiple users to work on the same footage simultaneously and edit in HD at 50 Mbps. The result was a shorter turnaround time from offline edit to online finishing and delivery, better cuts for network review, and a faster project queue overall. High Noon reported that Avid Technology’s solution “worked wonders,” helping the team produce more efficiently and focus on new development and show pitching.
