Films@59 Increases Productivity, Enhances Collaboration with ISIS

Films@59, a UK-based post-production house, needed a storage and editing solution that could handle growing volumes of footage while improving operational efficiency and supporting both Avid and non-Avid workflows. The company tested Avid Technology’s Avid ISIS shared storage system as a beta site, using it first on smaller jobs to evaluate interoperability with Final Cut Pro and Media Composer.

Avid Technology’s ISIS was implemented as a shared, platform-agnostic storage system that was easy to install and manage, with quick setup and simple administration. The result was faster project open/save times, improved bandwidth, smoother media movement across systems, and the ability to scale workspaces on the fly. Films@59 said ISIS helped it handle a large HD project with about 40 hours of ingested media and delivered the flexibility, reliability, and lower cost they needed.
