Estonian Public Broadcasting Opens Its Archive with Avid

Estonian Public Broadcasting (ERR) needed a more efficient way to access, manage, and distribute its growing archive as it expanded its programming and prepared to launch an online portal. To support an “access for everyone” content strategy and future growth, ERR turned to Avid Technology and the Avid MediaCentral platform, including Avid Interplay | MAM.

Avid Technology implemented a media asset management workflow that gave ERR full visibility into its 50-year archive and current media assets, with tools for tagging, storing, organizing, and rights management. The result was a major streamlining of online publishing and archive repurposing, with ERR now ingesting 500GB and about 20 hours of footage per day while managing more than 140,000 assets; productivity and efficiencies have increased year over year.
