Dodge College Prepares Students for Success with Avid

Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts needed to scale from a small program into a world-class training environment for more than 1,400 students, while ensuring students learned the same tools and workflows used in professional film, TV, and news production. The college partnered with Avid Technology, using products such as Media Composer, Pro Tools, ISIS with Interplay, and iNEWS to build an industry-standard learning ecosystem.

Avid Technology helped Dodge College equip Marion Knott Studios and its labs with 150 Media Composer stations, 150 Pro Tools licenses, and collaborative newsroom and production workflows that mirror real-world practice. The result has been stronger hands-on training, certification opportunities, and career readiness for graduates, who are now landing roles at companies like DreamWorks Animation, Paramount Pictures, Fox Sports, and CNN.
