Danish Film School Spreads its Wings with Avid

The National Film School of Denmark, a Copenhagen-based film school with up to 96 students editing and finishing projects in 4K at the same time, needed more capacity, speed, and affordability to support its practical post-production training. Its existing storage setup was limiting students’ work on graduation films, especially for shared finishing and grading workflows.

Avid Technology implemented Avid NEXIS | E4 shared storage for the school’s post-production environment, connected with its Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve systems. The new workflow improved bandwidth, throughput, and reliability, enabled campus-wide collaboration from 10 GbE workstations, and delivered 99.9% uptime, helping students complete 4K films faster with no performance or availability issues.
