Goldcrest Post, a leading film and broadcast post-production company with facilities in New York and London, needed to keep its technical setup cutting-edge to stay competitive and support more mixers working in Pro Tools “in the box.” As part of a major facility upgrade, Goldcrest turned to Avid Technology and the Avid Pro Tools | S6 control surface to enhance its mixing theaters and workflows.

Avid Technology implemented two Avid S6 systems in Goldcrest Post’s London theaters, including the UK’s first dual-operator S6 installation, and later a 32-fader system for a Dolby Atmos Premier mixing theatre. The upgrade gave mixers easier access to key features, better integration with Pro Tools and plugins, and a seamless workflow that improved efficiency without reducing creativity; Goldcrest reported that clients were getting results more quickly and painlessly, with theaters remaining fully booked on long-term projects.
