Avid VENUE | S6L Powers Riot Fest Stages

Riot Fest, the multi-day Chicago music festival, needed a reliable house console solution for its two main stages amid a tight schedule and many visiting engineers. Local sound company Technotrix, working with veteran production manager Grant Simmon, chose to bring in Avid Technology’s VENUE | S6L systems alongside VENUE | Profile systems to handle FOH and monitor duties.

Avid Technology’s VENUE | S6L delivered fast show-file portability, familiar operation, strong SoundGrid integration, and hot-swappable, easy-to-service hardware that fit Technotrix’s festival workflow. The result was a smooth three-day event with 25 of 31 acts on the main stages mixed on S6L, no reported issues from production, and positive feedback on the console’s sound and flexibility.
