Avid Pro Tools S6 Makes Ripples at Wave Studios

Wave Studios, a London and Amsterdam post-production facility, needed a more cost-effective way to handle shrinking budgets while maintaining high-quality audio work across film and TV projects. Owner and co-founder Johnnie Burn looked to modernize the studio’s workflow with Avid pro-audio tools, including Pro Tools and the Avid S6 console, to keep pace with growing demands in sound mixing and collaboration.

Avid Technology helped Wave Studios complete a full studio refurbishment built around more than eight Avid mixing consoles, including the Avid S6, alongside Pro Tools and S3 systems. The new setup improved ergonomics, speed, and creative control, enabling faster track-lay, easier sharing across teams and freelancers, and better multi-DAW management. Wave Studios reported greater time efficiency and smoother workflows, helping the team deliver everything from commercials to award-winning film work more effectively.
