Avid NEXIS Gives Israel’s Largest Post House 4K and Shared Workflow Capabilities

Opus, Israel’s largest post-production house, needed a way to support growing high-resolution projects and more collaborative workflows across its three facilities. As demand increased for 4K, color grading, and film restoration, Opus turned to Avid Technology and Avid NEXIS software-defined storage to replace bottlenecks caused by local storage and improve media access for editors and sound teams.

Avid Technology implemented Avid NEXIS | PRO and Avid NEXIS | E4 storage engines, enabling shared, high-bandwidth workflows for offline, online, color, sound, and restoration. The result was uncompressed 4K coloring for the first time at Opus, simultaneous editing and transcoding, faster turnaround, and greater efficiency, while also making high-resolution workflows more affordable and scalable.
